… and I shit on it!
After listening to me rant on last weekend about Cornwall Council’s parking charges – the stranglehold they have on towns and on local residents’ ability to make an impromptu trip to their local beach – a visiting friend took this picture for me in Marazion. August in Cornwall seems to bring out the rant in me: next up, when I can bear to, the monster Sainsbury’s currently rising from the heliport.

I await your rant about that awful Sainsburys building. Who on earth allowed such a thing to happen? Does Penzance really need yet another supermarket – and in such a prominent position too. I still don’t understand how the Heliport was taken away . . aha, it must have been a back-hander.

and another thing . . . in pz, there is loads of free parking along the front and up side roads while the pay and display parking by the promenade remains quite empty even on the busiest of sunny days . . . if cornwall council were a business, it would be bankrupt . . . as to the sainsbury’s, it is clearly a conspiracy of some sorts to degrade the town centre even further . . . i am told there is local councillor name of baldrick . . .
