As someone who guiltily neglects to use my gym contract enough (apart from the sauna!) because I always find myself wanting to be outside instead, I was quite enthused by this new National Trust outdoor gym, which blends perfectly into its surroundings on the Penrose Estate, near Helston.
It’s been designed by Boex 3D, a green design studio run by Sam and William Boex in Porthleven (Flora Day partners of mine from circa 1980!), and crafted mainly from wood sourced on the estate itself for full camouflage. The design is as natural as possible. Great idea, isn’t it?
Here’s a cheery video of it being made:

I have to say that ‘pull-ups’ to me mean those nappies that toddlers migrate to when they’re about 2 when they’re learning to use the potty – sorry, my toilet humour, but it’s what occurred to me when I read the title of your post! I thought it was going to be a tirade against people leaving litter in green spaces

Oh no! That’s so funny. Right, I’ve changed it to push-ups – less easily confused!

looks like fun and looks like it’s blending in with its setting – I have designed and installed a ‘natural’ playground in my village so interested to see this. There used to be one in Bristol in my youth, and it was called The Trim Trail!
